I had been looking at battery powered vacuums for a couple months and a popular YouTuber did a video on the EGO shop vac which made me decide to give it a try. It is somewhat expensive but considering what standalone battery’s cost I think it’s worth the price. Once I found a place that had them in stock I placed my order and a couple days later received the EGO.Goes without saying I had to test it out once the battery charged and as stated I’m highly impressed with all aspects. I used the vac for around 35 minutes on all 3 speeds which are low,normal & turbo all work great but of course turbo has the most powerful suction. I mainly used normal option and when I finished up I’d only used 25% of the battery. The vac is fairly quiet as well especially in low but even in normal it still on the quieter side. The suction exceeded my expectations because it’s as powerful as an electric shop vac if not more powerful. All the accessories are included and they all fit nicely on the machine the extension tubes hide underneath the unit,the squeegee type tip has a slot to sit on top of the vac and the smaller accessories have a compartment on top with a door so they are out of the way. That compartment also holds a remote control that attaches by magnet to the suction end of the hose so if your not near the vac you can change speeds as well as power off. The remote is charged with a USB-C cable which I would like to have seen EGO somehow had the remote charge onboard but it didn’t take long to charge.The EGO comes with a filter which the vac has the ability to clean the filter to help to minimize how often it needs to be removed and cleaned. I contacted customer service about replacements and I was told to just rinse and once dry reuse they aren’t actually meant to be replaced. There is also a vac bag included and customer service told me basically the same for the bag to empty and reuse and they aren’t meant to be replaced but if one is needed to call and they can sell me one but at a later date because as of 12/23 they were not available(I prefer to keep extra bag).The EGO has a drain plug built in for any liquid being vacuumed. If your on the fence about this battery powered wet/dry vac I’d say buy it you will be happy with the purchase because EGO as with many of the products did a great job and seems like they put a great amount of thought into the shop vac.
